Chapter 2

Chapter two taught me a lot about email functionality that is new for me. First, I learned that you cannot send emails to more than 50 people at once. Second, I learned that you could send a Blind Courtesy Copy (BCC) to people who should be aware of the email. The “To” recipient won’t know about this copy. Third, I found that you can create a group of email addresses. This could make communication easier for people in different departments. Finally, I learned that email is not private; you should not include any sensitive information. This is because emails can be forwarded without the first sender's knowledge.

The chapter also pointed out functionality that I already knew, but I have never thought about them much. To begin with, emails aren’t case sensitive. Secondly, I’ve been dealing with spam pretty much since I first got email access. However, I didn’t realize spam was also known as “unsolicited commercial email” (UCM). Finally, I’ve been doing CAPTCHA verification for quite some time now, but I didn’t know it stands for Completely Automated Public Tunning test to tell Computers and Humans Apart.
